Greetings Utah DMC members and attendees.

As you are aware, the Covid-19 (CoronaVirus) is upon us.

For the health and welfare of all of our attendees, speakers, hosts, and board, we are joining many other organizations and events here locally and pausing monthly Utah DMC in-person events until further notice.

As we were preparing to message you, the Governor of Utah has restricted gatherings of more than 100 people, so if nothing else, that sealed the deal to cancel the event.

Regarding the March event:
  • We are looking at dates to reschedule this topic, and/or possibly holding a virtual version of the event, online. We will be in touch and let you know should we end up doing a virtual event.
  • If you purchased a ticket to the March event, we will be issuing refunds soon.
We have a tentative plan for an April event, but we are waiting to see how things in our community develop before we announce that event. So please, stay tuned.

Be safe,

Doc & the Board of Utah DMC

We invite you to our next Utah Digital Marketing Collective Event, Wednesday, March 18, 2020

We have an amazing night planned, with amazing speakers, that you do not want to miss.

Our First Present: Andrew Howlett

Presentation Title: The Power of Branding and Storytelling

Presentation Description:

At Struck, we practice Experience Affinity. Sounds a bit jargon-y, we know … but it aptly describes why clients seek us out. We create attention and affection for brands that goes beyond mere loyalty. And it’s more than just wildly creative. It’s entirely measurable — in love, impressions, revenue —  and quantified by our new Affinity Index.

Come learn more about Experience Affinity, and see how we’ve put it into practice while working with Nickelodeon, Snowbird and Utah’s oldest new bank, Altabank.

Bio:

Andrew Howlett is the CEO and largest individual shareholder of Struck since December 2018. Prior to joining Struck, Andrew was the founder of RAIN, a digital consultancy, with offices in NYC, Utah, Seattle and Nicaragua. Andrew grew RAIN from a startup to one of the most respected innovation-first digital agencies in the country and won nearly every award, including the coveted Small Agency of the Year from AdAge for their region. He is also a founding partner of Versa, the first enterprise-level voice experience agency (VX) in Australia and New Zealand which has already won Emerging Agency of the Year honors in Australia. Andrew currently serves as the chairman of the board of SoDA, The Digital Society, a collective of the best creative and digital agencies worldwide. Over the last few years, he has been a pioneer of and prominent thought-leader on voice-first experiences like Amazon's Alexa and Google's Assistant. Andrew grew up in Las Vegas and has called Utah's Silicon Slopes home for over 20 years. He's married with three children and loves traveling with the family and exploring exciting places and sharing new experiences with them.

Our Second Presenter: Veronica Romney

Presentation Title: Core Connection: How to Turn Your Contacts into VeronicaCustomers

Presentation Description:

You know you’re the right answer for the right person, but they don’t...yet. You also know if you can get your prospective customer to act on the decision that’s right for them, you not only help your company but also improve your customer’s life. The challenge is how. And it all comes down to one of our most powerful drivers of action - our aspirations. When you connect to what people really want, you connect with the core of who they are… and they connect with you in return. Join 12-year marketing and branding expert and Dean Graziosi/Tony Robbins Speaker Veronica Romney as she helps you to go beyond merely contacting your customers and truly connecting with them instead.

Takeaways: After Veronica’s session you’ll be able to

  • Clarify and communicate your brand’s core — who you are and what you stand for — and grow your business as a result
