Our June 23, 2021, Utah DMC's live online event featured Ernie Harker, brand igniter, speaker, and author. He began his career as a digital artist, founded a creative production studio called 8fish, and has had much success in brand development for a variety of clients. One of his most recognizable successes was leading the rebranding of Maverik Country Store into a $3 billion adventure brand.

This was Ernie's first time presenting for the Utah Digital Marketing Collective, and we were thrilled to have him here to present: Ignite Your $Billion Brand!

Prior to MarCaps, Shubu worked for Agile Measurement and managed the online and offline marketing, advertising, and promotion efforts through agile data-driven approaches. Shubu has a background in not only online and offline marketing but also worked in connection effectiveness with Coca-Cola, where he led their global effectiveness efforts for brand marketing.

Our May 26th, 2021 Utah DMC live online event featured Josh Aston and his business partner Jessica Chase.  Josh has nearly 20 years of experience in marketing and has used this experience to launch his own Utah-based programmatic agency, Above The Fold. In addition to Above The Fold, Josh currently serves in an advisory CMO role at Blaast and was previously VP of Marketing for Progrexion/Credit.com, Brixio, and 1-800-CONTACTS.

Over the past couple of decades, Josh has managed teams of up to 50 people and been entrusted with marketing budgets of $60M annually. In Josh’s most recent position, he led a digital marketing team that took a company with under $1M in annual revenue to being valued at $1.2B. Josh has a proven skillset that includes creating aggressive digital marketing strategies, content, and channels aimed to increase business development and visibility.

Susan has almost 20 years of experience in marketing in-house and with agencies. She is recognized as a leading authority on digital marketing. Her specializations include paid search, paid social, lead generation, and e-commerce.

This is her fifth time presenting for Utah DMC, and we were thrilled to have her back to present: The Tricky & Sometimes Messy World of Digital Agency & Client Relationships.  

Susan has hired, managed, and grown teams, and over the years she has seen common patterns emerge between clients and agencies. During this presentation, she explains that these patterns occur repeatedly, and they often come down to basic elements that go back to the beginning of the agency/client relationship.

New Rules of Marketing - February 2019 [Recap]

Our first speaker was Michael Salamon.

He covered trail assessments and condition surveys or TRACS. Most of his experience is in UX/UI and he partners with wearelousy.com. He came up with his three-step training because he keeps running into the same problem. No one has a post-purchase plan in their customer journey.
